A brief description of the manga HAJIME NO IPPO: The story in Hajime no Ippo is about the eponymous title character Ippo Makunouchi. A very shy, always helpful and friendly high school student. However, he is also very naive and so it happens that he all too often becomes the victim of bullying a few of his classmates. One day they lurk under a bridge to make him even harder than usual. But by chance they are discovered by a passing jogger, who makes the attackers harmless without further ado. It turns out that the jogger is Mamoru Takamura, an up-and-coming professional boxer blessed with a talent of the century. So impressed by him and with the determination to become stronger, Ippo decides to become a boxer.
