A young man named Joe Yabuki resides in one of Tokyo’s shantytowns. However, he eventually meets former boxer Danpei Tange, who sees his ability in the sport and works to turn him into a champion. Joe is sent to a juvenile prison for minor offenses. When Joe tried to flee from prison, Toru Rikiishi, a talented boxer, knocked him out with one punch.
